VISION

An informed citizenry takes responsibility for the interactive stewardship of the natural and cultural resources within the Lower Minnesota River Watershed; using natural, economic, and social systems to restore and sustain a healthy Minnesota River and surrounding lands and waters.

MISSION

Using the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge as the foundation, Friends of the Minnesota Valley will provide leadership and build partnerships within the Lower Minnesota River Watershed for:

Protecting, restoring and fostering respect
for the natural and cultural resources;
Improving water quality;
Advancing the understanding of the connection and role that individuals have with the watershed; plus
Guiding decisions that impact the lower Minnesota River Valley.
