Key Definitions:

Listserv lists (or listservers)
Programs that act as a message switch for e-mail on specific subjects.
When you subscribe to any listserver, you receive all message sent to that list.
You can reply to those messages, and all other list subscribers also see your message.

Subscriber:
Any e-Mail user who receives Listserver or GroupMail messages.
May be self-subscribed or invited by an e-Groups account member.

For closed e-Groups subscriptions, a moderator may need to approve participation.
Moderators may also selectively pre-subscribe GroupMail recipients.

e-Groups Account Membership:
To use the Yahoo! Groups web interface, you need to associate your e-Groups accounts with a Yahoo! ID. If you have multiple e-Groups accounts, you can use this
wizard process for each and link them all to one Yahoo! ID. http://groups.yahoo.com/convwiz

You may use this wizard for all your e-Mail addresses currently subscribed to e-Groups. If you subscribe to an e-Group by e-Mail (receiving e-Mail from GroupName@yahoogroups.com), and want to use the group's web interface, you must associate your e-Mail address to a Yahoo! ID.
